Prayer for the Days' Work

Hail the Aesir, hail the Vanir, Hail the Elder Kin!

The day begins and I am ready for it,
I ask for nothing,
only that you watch me,
and you will see that I bring honour to myself,
my family,
my people,
my gods,
my ancestors,
my descendants.

I have within me all that I need,
The wisdom of One-Eye Odin,
the strength of Thor,
the judgment of Forseti,
the courage of Tyr,
the love of Freya and Frigga,
the senses of Heimdallr,
and when needed,
the cunning of Loki.

The day begins and I am ready for it.

Hail the Aesir, hail the Vanir, Hail the Elder Kin!

Night time prayer for my son...

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the gods my souls to keep,
And when I wake to a new day,
A thousand giants I will slay!

Now I lay me down to rest,
My family and folk the gods to bless,
And with a new day upon us,
We'll go forth victorious!

Prayer to the Gods

Hail the Aesir, hail the Vanir, hail the elder kin!

Odin All Father, look upon your people and into our hearts,

They suffer from fear of the world,
They suffer from fear of the future,
They suffer from fear of the now,

They look to leaders who promise to take care of them,
They look to leaders who blame others,
They look to leaders who use them,

Our people lose their pride,
Our people lose their courage,
Our people lose their self-discipline,

Help our people find in themselves...
The strength of Thor,
The courage of Tyr,
The love of Frey and Freya,
The wisdom of Odin Eye One,

Help them to see that leaders that give them everything,
Own them.

Help them to see that people who earn, create, build,
Own themselves.

Hail the Aesir, hail the Vanir, hail the elder kin!
