Viktor Rydberg - Teutonic Mythology

Has anyone else read this three volume set? You can get it here - http://www.vaidilute.com/books/norroena/rydberg-contents.html - I've read it and will do so again.  There's been a lot written about Rydberg, not all of it true, some of it altered and some I just don't know what to think. Putting that aside, the three volume work "Teutonic Mythology
Gods and Goddesses of the Northland" is an excellent read, with Rydberg really working hard to tie the different strands of heathen and christian writtings into a comprehensive whole.  I recommend it to Asatru that hold fast to the idea of Asatru being a religion with homework.

This sounds like a good book for the kids...

The Last Viking written by Norman Jorgensen and illustrated by James Foley.

"...up high in the sky, lies Asgard, home of the Norse gods, who have overheard Josh's decision. Touched that they have been remembered, they watch as the young boy builds a Viking ship and imagines sailing into great adventures as one of the bravest warriors the world has ever seen, but the neighbourhood bullies have other plans, which is when the Norse gods rally with their longhorn ships, the Beserkers, their wildest warriors, and help Josh defeat the bullying invaders."
